MSDLAB Internet Café ("MSDLAB", "we", "us") respects your privacy. This policy explains how we collect, use, and protect personal information when you visit www.msdlab.co.za, use our internet café, printing, repairs, or business services, or pay online. We process personal information in line with South Africa's Protection of Personal Information Act, 2013 (POPIA). We do not sell your personal information.

2. Information we collect

Depending on how you deal with us, we may collect:

  • Service details: print jobs, repair notes, document types, company registration requests, and similar job information you provide.
  • PC session notes: customer name or label used by reception for timed internet access.
  • Payment details: amount, reference, and status. Card numbers are processed by our payment partner and are not stored by MSDLAB.
  • Technical data: basic website logs such as IP address, browser type, and pages visited.

3. How we use information

We use personal information to:

  • Provide internet café, printing, repair, and business services.
  • Track PC floor sessions and manage reception operations.
  • Process payments and send receipts or sale confirmations.
  • Respond to enquiries and support requests.
  • Improve our website and protect against abuse or fraud.
  • Comply with legal obligations.

4. Payments

Online and card payments are processed through RedFace Pay and licensed payment infrastructure (payment processing partner: Paystack). MSDLAB does not store full card numbers. Settlements go to our verified business account through licensed partners. MSDLAB does not hold customer card funds.

5. Sharing

We share information only when needed to run the service:

  • RedFace Pay and Paystack for payment processing and settlement.
  • Hosting and email providers bound by confidentiality.
  • Authorities when required by law or to investigate fraud or abuse.

We do not sell personal information or rent customer lists.

6. Retention and security

We keep information only as long as needed for the purpose collected, or as required by law (for example financial records). We apply reasonable technical and organisational safeguards. Shared café PCs may be wiped or reset between sessions as part of good practice.

7. Your rights (POPIA)
